October arrival for Type-R

Honda Australia can’t wait to get this one into dealerships – the all-new 2018 Honda Civic Type-R.

The sporty hot hatch rounds out the Honda Civic range following the introduction of the regular sedan and hatchback and is already proving popular.

Honda say they have already taken 250 customer orders.

Priced from $50,990, the updated iconic Honda model will feature a 2.0 litre (228kW/400Nm)VTEC turbo engine, six-speed manual, and front-wheel drive.

Brembo brakes, 20” black alloy wheels, sports-tuned suspension and a limited-slip diff are just some of the performance mods on the Nürburgring lap record setting car.

Honda Australia boss, Stephen Collins, says the Civic Type-R offers Honda enthusiasts a real cutting-edge performance car.

“There’s a depth of engineering within the Type R chassis that shows Honda at its best and it’s clearly the fastest, most dynamic Type R model ever sold in Australia.”
