Jeep Renegade Park Assist Recall

2015-2016 Jeep Renegade recalled over park assist issues.

Australian owners of the Jeep Renegade are being asked to return their vehicles to a dealership to have a potentially dangerous issue with the Park Assist system rectified.

Effecting 2015-2016 models of the SUV, the Jeep Renegade Park Assist recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

The ACCC recall notice advises that the Park Assist Mode may not work as intended. The Park Assist Mode requires a software update to function as specified.

The Park Assist mode may not bring the vehicle to a complete stop. This may pose a hazard to the driver, pedestrians and other road users.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Australia will notify Jeep Renegade owners by letter. Customer can take their vehicle to a Jeep dealership for repair.
