Mercedes-Benz C-Class Diesel Leak Recall

A recall of current-edition Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars is underway after a possible issue with a high-pressure fuel line was identified.

The recall affects only diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars sold between the 1st of December 2014 and the 31st of March 2016 and is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The ACCC recall notice advising that the high pressure fuel line may not have been manufactured to specification.

What are the hazards?

Diesel fuel leakage on to the road surface may occur and as a result will cause an increased risk of an accident to the vehicle concerned and other road users.

Only diesel-powered versions of the C-Class Mercedes-Benz are affected.

Letters will be sent to owners of affected Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicles by Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd with advise of next steps to take.
