Mitsubishi’s new SUV coming to Australia in 2018…

It’s been confirmed that Mitsubishi Motors will officially take the wraps off the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross at the Geneva Motor Show next week.

Already confirmed for production (details here), Mitsubishi has also just given us an Australian arrival time for the compact AWD SUV of early next year.

We now also know the SUV model will feature a choice of two engines.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross boasting a choice of 1.5 litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine and 2.2 litre turbo-diesel.

The petrol engine will be mated to a CVT auto, the diesel gets a new eight-speed auto.

The Japanese car company saying it’s new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SUV will appeal to style-conscious drivers, this is thanks to its sharp coupé looks and muscular SUV stance.

While the cabin will feature a large ‘tablet like’ infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a head-up display.
