Potential air-bag fault forces Toyota Prado recall.
Selected Toyota Prado vehicles are being recalled due to a potential fault which could prevent the driver’s air-bag from working correctly.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission are overseeing the Toyota Prado air-bag recall which affects Prado SUVs built between September 2009 and June 2010.
The ACCC recall notice says they say the spiral cable electrical connection for the driver’s airbag module may become damaged overtime.
If this occurs, the air-bag warning light will illuminate and the driver’s airbag may not operate in the event of an accident.
Owners of Toyota Prado vehicles built between September 2009 and June 2010 are being contacted directly by Toyota with further information on the recall and repairs.
