Toyota off-road concept to be shown next month in New York…

We got to see the Toyota HiLux Tonka Truck this week (details here), now we are about to see another beefed-up Toyota offering – an SUV.

At the upcoming New York Auto Show Toyota will take the covers off the FT-4X Concept.

Possibly an insight into a truck/SUV that could rival the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco (details here), the Toyota off-road concept has been described as also being ‘capable in urban areas’.

All we’ve got so far of the concept though is the above image showing little more than a chunky wheel and tyre combo.

The concept could be a glimpse of a possible replacement for the now discontinued FJ Cruiser (below).
