Toyota hands over vehicle number six million to Australian buyer.
Australian new car buyers continue to choose Toyota vehicles with great enthusiasm, now, more than six decades after the first Toyota delivery a major milestone has just been passed.
Toyota has just sold its six-millionth vehicle in Australia! The sales data shows that Australians have bought 3.46 million Toyota passenger cars, more than 1.7 million light-commercial vehicles and 830,000 SUVs.
What’s remarkable is that Toyota reckons more than 3.7 million of these vehicles are still registered, and many more are still giving good service on rural properties.
It’s taken Toyota just five years to sell the last million vehicles and Toyota executive director of sales and marketing Tony Cramb has paid tribute to Toyota’s loyal Australian customers.
“Toyota deeply appreciates that so many Australians have put their faith in our company, our vehicles and our dealer network.”
