Eagle One Nano Protectant Detailer Review – Nano Technology?

Eagle One claims their Nano Protectant Detailer uses Nano Technology (or is that Nanotechnology?).

First of all, what is Nanotechnology?

According to the US National Nanotechnology Initiative, Nanotechnology can be defined as ‘the understanding and control of matter at dimensions of roughly 1 to 100 nanometers’.

With this in mind the Eagle One packaging claims their product ‘uses particles as small as a nanometer (1/75,000th of a human hair)’.

Now, whether or not you believe the marketing, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and I must say I was not really impressed by this product.

Eagle One Nano Protectant Detailer Review – The applicator works well on large areas but can be hard to get into smaller spaces.

I applied the detailer to plastic/rubber and plastic surfaces inside a family member’s 15 year old Land Rover and while the shiny finish was welcome, the application and final results disappointed.

Traditionally protectants have come in a spray bottle and with the use of a rag you can quite easily get an even coverage and access the tight cracks and nooks that every dashboard and console has.

But, with this bizarre ‘shoe polish’ type applicator I found it hard to get the same result. The more you try to get the nozzle into tight areas the more liquid comes out and thus you end up with an excess.

The Eagle One Nano Protectant Detailer also tends to leave quite an oily and ‘blotchy’ residue.

A note I would also make about this product is that the packaging is unnecessarily hard to open!

Overall, whether or not you believe the ‘Nano Technology’ claims, I was disappointed.
