A recall of more than 22,700 Subaru vehicles sold in Australia has been initiated after a possible issue with an air pump was identified.

The Subaru vehicles affected by the recall include:

The recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and will commence at the end of October.

The ACCC recall notice advising that certain affected vehicles may contain a potentially faulty secondary air pump relay.

What are the hazards?

Known owners will be contacted by mail as soon as parts become available (end of October 2016) to present their vehicle to their preferred Subaru Retailer for replacement of the relay at no cost.
