Subaru Levorg launches with five-star safety

It’s a car that is billed as a great all-rounder that delivers performance and practicality, the new Subaru Levorg also boasts top safety credentials too.

Subaru Levorg launches with five-star safetyANCAP has confirmed that Subaru’s new model (reviewed here) will begin its life with a maximum five-star safety rating.

The testing authority telling us today that the Levorg achieved top marks and comes with a commendable list of standard safety features and technologies, including autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane support systems (LSS) and adaptive cruise control (ACC).

“This is an impressive package in terms of safety,” said ANCAP CEO James Goodwin.

“The standout with this model is that it offers all three grades of AEB as standard across the model line-up.”

“This means its owners will benefit from emergency braking intervention to avoid a crash with another car at low speed; high speed; as well as upon the detection of pedestrians in the path of the vehicle.”

While the Subaru Levorg was also found to offer a ‘Good’ level of protection for pedestrians.
