2016 arrival for new Subaru Levorg wagon.
The name may not be great but Subaru Australia is hoping the all-new Subaru Levorg sports tourer will emulate overseas success when it arrives here mid next year.
Confirmed by Subaru Australia this afternoon, the Subaru Levorg has proven a hit in Japan since it was launched late last year and the model is expected to replace the Subaru Liberty GT wagon.
Built with a choice of two engines, there’s been no confirmation as to whether we will get the 1.6 litre or 2.0 litre boxer engine version, or both. We will keep you updated.
Commenting on the confirmation that the Levorg was heading our way, Subaru Australia Managing Director, Nick Senior said it was a coup securing the new model for the Australian market.
“The Levorg will appeal to those fourth generation Liberty GT buyers who have been starved of a logical successor but we believe it will also attract a much wider audience because of its performance, its versatility, its refinement and its high level of standard equipment.”
“And we have more excitement later this year with three very special limited editions arriving and another in first half of 2016 that will be the ideal complement to Levorg.”
The news on the Levorg comes after official June car sales results show Subaru sold 4502 vehicles in Australia in the month, a record result.
