A total of just 12 Isuzu MU-X SUVs sold in Australia are being recalled after it was found fuel tank fixings on the vehicles may not have been tightened correctly.
The Isuzu MU-X recall affects vehicles built between the 21st of April and the 27th of April this year.

Being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the recall notice says that the fuel tank band fixing bolts may not be tightened to the correct torque specification.
The fixing bolts may become loose during normal operation of the vehicle. The fuel tank may become detached and drop down which could result in the spillage of fuel.
Isuzu UTE Australia is contacting all known owners of affected vehicles.
Affected Isuzu MU-X owners should contact their nearest Isuzu UTE Dealer to arrange for inspection and repair consisting of tightening of the fuel tank band fixing bolts to the correct torque setting.
