Scosche Magic Mount Review

Scosche Magic Mount Review

We review a magnetic mount for mobile devices…

There are so many different options available for mounting your phone or GPS in the car.

As you know we’ve been checking out all different kinds and really, for the most part, they all do a very good job.

The Scosche Magic Mount for windows is a little different; it has a magnetic pad that you use to secure your phone to on-the-go.

The mount suctions firmly onto your windscreen, a stick-on mounting pad for your dash or console is also included.

The mount has a strong and well-built feel about it and there is full 360 degree adjustment via the flexible arm.

Then, once you have the mount attached to the car, you just need to work out how you want to secure your phone or device to the mounts magnetic pad.

The kit comes with a small and large stick-on steel plate.

You simply use the double-sided tape on one of the mounting plates to make your device attractive to the magnet.

I chose to put the metal plate on the back of my phone case.

Then you are ready to go, just let the magnetic plate on the mount do all the work.

The magnet is very strong.

Perhaps the only downside with this unit is the need to attach the metal plate to your device or its case, but, while I didn’t use the option, the instructions say the plate can be installed on the back of your device, even inside the case – that way you don’t see it at all.

With a quality feel, easy installation and lots of adjustment, I have to say this is one phone mount well worth considering.

It’s also much more elegant and modern than the old-fashioned cradle type phone or GPS holders.

The Scosche Magic Mount is available directly from the MobileZap website and is priced at just $30.99.
