The recall notice advises that the reverse camera screen in the infotainment unit may freeze when the gear selector is in reverse.
What are the hazards?
If the reversing image freezes it may create an unsafe situation by not representing the true nature of the conditions behind the vehicle, posing a risk to other road users.
Known owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by direct mail.
Owners should contact their preferred Subaru retailer to arrange an appointment for an updated software program file to be installed in their vehicle.
