Refreshed Lexus IS debuted in China

Lexus say the current-series Lexus IS has been so warmly welcomed by buyers around the world, they resisted the temptation to change it too much for 2017.

This updated Lexus IS was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show earlier this morning and shows a new-look front with redesigned headlamps and larger air intakes.

While Lexus has also fitted a refreshed version of the spindle grille to the 2017 model.

New 10-spoke 17” alloy wheels also feature and Lexus has given the IS more pronounced “L”-shaped LED taillights. Lexus also tell us the IS will be offered in two new paint shades—Deep Blue Mica and Graphite Black Glass Flake.

A new 10.3” centre display screen is also coming, along with a revised Remote Touch Interface (RTI) with new side ‘enter’ buttons also features, the 2017 IS also gets redesigned audio and climate controls and a new cabin interior shade – Chateau.

The 2017 Lexus IS won’t feature any mechanical upgrades and is expected in local Lexus dealerships a little later in the year.
