BMW Australia has just confirmed the system, with Valve Silencer System, has been homologated for use in the Australian market.
Offered as a dealer-fit accessory, the exhaust system costs $4,081.82.
Taking around two hours to fit, the M exhaust system replaces the standard system and comes with a new cockpit switch that allows M2 drivers to flick their M2’s sound between ‘Sport Mode’ and ‘Track Mode’.
BMW telling us in the racetrack focussed mode the exhaust brings a new level of volume and a guttural six-cylinder soundtrack synonymous with BMW Motorsport pedigree.
M2 owners who opt to switch up their exhaust system can also add titanium exhaust tips ($1,405.04) outlets, or carbon fibre exhaust tips ($2,015.88).
Take note though, all prices quoted cover only the supply of the products, fitment and GST charges all apply.
