Land Rover confirms Aussie arrival

Land Rover released a media statement today confirming that the new mid-size offering would also boast the new 2.0 litre Ingenium petrol engine (from December).

The 221kW/400Nm unit will propel the Velar to 100km/h in a very-respectable 6.0 seconds.

Land Rover telling us the engine will feature alongside a supercharged V6 petrol engine, as well as four-cylinder and V6 turbo-diesel powerplants.

Australian pricing will range from $70,950 to $136,050.

While we can now also report that the model will boast a 2,500kg towing capacity.
