Nissan say no local cars caught up in air-bag recall

A recall launched last week that will affect thousands of Nissan vehicles across the globe, won’t extend to any Nissan or Infiniti vehicles sold in Australia.

A statement released by Nissan Australia confirms the recall does not relate to any vehicles sold in Australia.

The global recall was launched after it was found an issue with the Occupant Classification System (OCS) could affect the operation of the passenger-side air-bag in models including the Nissan Pathfinder, Maxima and Murano, as well as Infiniti models including the Q50.

The local statement advising that the Australian-delivered versions of the models are not affected.
