Next-generation Camry will be made in Australia…
In a statement released by Toyota, they say they have stripped the Camry down to its chassis and rebuilt it from the ground up with designers and engineers re-imagining nearly every exterior surface of the car. Only the roof remains unchanged.
Underneath, the chassis and body structure are bolstered with additional spot welds, enhancing rigidity for better ride quality. A retuned suspension is said to take the Camry’s handling to a whole new level of responsiveness.
Inside the cabin, Toyota is promising an upscale interior featuring premium, soft-touch materials throughout.
We will keep you updated on the local production and availability of the new Camry over the coming months.
