Just launched Proton Suprima S will be coming to boost local line-up.
The Proton range is set to expand with confirmation a newly launched model will be offered in Australia.
Just unveiled in Malaysia, the Proton Suprima S hatchback promises improved levels of equipment over the current generation of Proton vehicles available in Australia.
Proton say the Suprima will come with a 7-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation, Android-based infotainment system, rear LED light guides, daytime running lights, hill-hold assist and park assist with front parking sensors.
Powered by a 1.6L turbo-charged engine, which produces 103kW and 205Nm, the Suprima S will also boast a 7-speed CVT.
Proton Cars Australia General Manager of Sales and Marketing Billy Falconer says the Suprima S will be a welcome addition to the local Proton line-up.
“We are looking forward to introducing the Proton Suprima S in Australia and are very confident its styling, features and safety will appeal to buyers looking for excellent value in the hotly-contested small car segment.”
There has been no confirmation as yet as to when the Suprima S might arrive in Australia or local pricing.
