New-gen HAVAL H6 unveiled

HAVAL unveils all-new H6 SUV in China…

The new 2018 HAVAL H6 SUV is in the pipeline and we should see it in Australia later this year.

Unveiled by the HAVAL Design Director, Pierre Leclercq, today, the new-generation model will welcome a new petrol engine – a 1.3 litre turbo-petrol unit.

There’s no word yet on outputs for that new engine, we will keep you updated.

Joining the 2.0 litre turbo-petrol found in the existing model, the new HAVAL H6 will boast a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard across both engines.

While the HAVAL H6 interior will also be completely reworked – and HAVAL will be adding in a new 12” infotainment screen and a fully-digital instrument panel.

Perhaps the biggest change though comes with the vehicles proportions – the new-gen model will be 40mm shorter than the current model, but also 40mm wider.

Leclercq said the new H6 will take the SUV manufacturer another step forward.

“The H6 is an extremely important vehicle for us at HAVAL.

“When you work on a new platform, you have the chance to work on proportions. And proportions are key to the dynamic of the vehicle and its stance on the road.

“The H6 is a great family SUV. But it doesn’t mean it should be boring or static. We worked hard to achieve a silhouette that is very dynamic.”
