The latest development is the confirmation that this all-new compact SUV would be debuting at this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
Set to make its global debut in pre-production form, the name of the all-new model is yet to be revealed.
But Chery say the vehicle is an important one for them – saying it will lead a line-up of new Chery models within the next few years.
Featuring the brand’s ‘Life In Motion’ design philosophy, Chery tell us the new compact SUV will lead Chery entry into the European market in the coming years.
And the Chinese manufacturer is looking to land in Europe and other markets with the latest powertrain technology.
Chery saying all their new products will feature versions with electrified powertrains, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric.
They’re also promising state-of-the-art connectivity and convenience features, advanced safety systems and autonomous driving capabilities.
Chery has also committed to showing two other concept car vehicles in Frankfurt – the TIGGO 5x and TIGGO 7.
Both are promised as future vehicles for global markets and we will bring you photos of those concept vehicles when they come to hand.
As always, we will keep you updated as further details and updates come through.
