Navman MY600LMT Review

Joel Helmes checks out a new GPS unit from Navman…

It used to be that your GPS was just that – a device to help you get from point A to point B.

But, as technology has improved, so too has the functionality of units such as this new addition to the Navman GPS – MY Series.

The MY600LT has a recommended retail price of just $199 and boasts some really handy features, including:

  • Bluetooth
  • Red light camera alerts
  • Speed limit alerts
  • Dangerous and challenging road condition alerts
  • Traffic updates

And it also features voice prompts to allow you to program your next destination without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

It also lets you know where you can buy petrol and even the type of fuel available at upcoming service stations!

Installation takes all of five minutes and the windscreen mount provided has a quality feel about it and offers plenty of adjustment.

I found the Navman MY600LMT a very easy to use unit. Programming destinations was a cinch and the voice and screen prompts were easy to follow and clear.

It took only a matter of minutes to sync the unit to my phone and the Bluetooth system provided really good call clarity.

This is one unit that really is worth investigating and at less than $200 is remarkably affordable given its many features.

Full marks!
