The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is overseeing a recall of Mitsubishi Rosa buses sold in Australia.
The recall involves a total of just 30 vehicles, all the affected vehicles were sold between the 12th of August 2011 and the 19th of April 2012.
The ACCC recall notice advises that during production a machining error on the clutch drum has led to the possibility that a snap ring could displace.
This may lead to transmission clutch slippage and result in the vehicle losing all drive.
What are the hazards?
If the defect occurs, this may pose a hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
A letter will be sent to owners of affected Mitsubishi Rosa vehicles and repairs will be carried out free of charge at authorised Mitsubishi Fuso Dealers.
