The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has updated the recall notice to include this VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) list (click to check whether your Mercedes-Benz is involved).

In total, as per the VIN list, there are 3,785 vehicles affected.

The recall notice advising once again that all of those vehicles were sold locally between the 1st of February 2012 and the 30th of June 2013.

What is the Issue?

The connection on the brake booster vacuum hose may break, resulting in a lack of power assistance to the braking system.

This may require additional pedal force to stop the vehicle.

What are the hazards?

This may result in an increased risk of injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should Mercedes-Benz A-Class/B-Class owners do?

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by direct mail and are requested to contact their nearest Mercedes-Benz dealership to arrange an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
