Mazda teases new sports car concept – the Mazda KOERU will make it’s Japanese debut at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The Tokyo Motor Show opens at the end of October and Mazda has just given us a quick glimpse of a new sports car concept the Japanese brand will show.

While details are still top secret, in releasing the graphic above, Mazda said the design of the sports car concept to be unveiled in Tokyo is modern but maintains a sense of lineage and authenticity, appearing almost to condense Mazda’s entire history of sports car development into a single model.

We will keep you updated on that one.

Meantime, Mazda has also confirmed the KOERU Concept will make its Japanese debut at the motor show.

Tipped to be the basis for the next-generation Mazda CX-7, the KOERU Concept recently debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the new CX-7 is expected to arrive in 2017.

Using the theme “Accelerate toward our dreams” Mazda will show 14 new models and concepts in total in Tokyo, and will also offer show-goers a look through a unique Mazda motor sport exhibit.

In other Mazda news; 2016 Mazda BT-50 now in dealerships and Mazda2 Sedan lands in Australia.
