Chinese maker premieres first SUV…
LDV is venturing further into the passenger car market with the first glimpse of the brand’s first SUV, the LDV D90.
Kiama on the NSW South Coast was chosen for the reveal of the SUV for its quintessentially Australian location where the vehicles were literally unveiled, pulling back the layers of camouflage decals.
The model is in the country for its initial test programme on and off road before its arrival in Australian dealerships at the end of 2017.
It’s likely to feature a 2.8 litre turbo diesel engine under the bonnet which is yet to be confirmed.
This foray into the category follows closely behind the Chinese company’s launch of yet another commercial vehicle with the LDV T60 ute.
They join the LDV V80 and LDV G10 vans in the line up.
The LDV D90 will have its global launch at the Shanghai International Motor Show later this month.
