Orders being taken for extreme Jaguar F-TYPE SVR.
Jaguar has taken the already menacing F-TYPE R and lowered the weight and upped the performance even further in the new Jaguar F-TYPE SVR.
About to debut officially at the Geneva Motor Show and go into production shortly in the UK, the new F-TYPE SVR will be priced $289,590 for the Coupé and $308,470 for the Convertible.
Powered by a tweaked version of the Jaguar 5.0 litre V8 engine and offering a mouth-watering 422kW and 700Nm, the ‘all weather supercar’ as Jaguar describes it, covers the 0-100kph sprint in just 3.7 seconds and boasts a top speed of 322kph.
Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar, says the SVR version is a very special car.
“The purity of the F-TYPE’s form is something truly special, but in designing the new F-TYPE SVR we had the opportunity to create something even more dramatic. Every additional form, line or component is there for a reason, and contributes to the car’s increased performance as well as its presence.
“Cutting-edge aerodynamics have always been fundamental to Jaguar design, and everything from the enlarged air intakes to the active rear wing is essential to the new F-TYPE SVR’s dramatic looks and 200mph potential.”
