Infiniti has released the above teaser image of an all-new concept car that it will debut at next month’s Detroit Motor Show.
In revealing the image, all Infiniti would tell us was that the concept will be a glimpse of where the car brand’s design language is heading.

Global design boss, Alfonso Albaisa, being quoted as saying the concept previews a new generation of Infiniti vehicles…
“Our Detroit concept car heralds a new generation of Infiniti – a seamless and stunning new design philosophy demonstrating Infiniti artistry in the new age of autonomy and breakthrough drivetrains.”
The concept will sit alongside the eye-catching Prototype 9 vehicle that Infiniti unveiled back in August.
Alfonso saying the pair are sure to make an impression on show goers.
“They aim to showcase a new elegance, one that strikes harmony and simplicity in a complex world.”
The news that a new generation of Infiniti designs were on the horizon comes after a somewhat frustrating year for the brand in Australia in 2017.
After a better than 40% increase in sales through 2016, 2017 sales have been flat for the premium Japanese car brand.
VFACTS data shows that until the end of November, local deliveries totaled just 739 cars, down slightly from the 747 handed over in the same period last year.
Global sales for Infiniti increased a healthy 7% last year, we look forward to bringing you details of the brand’s worldwide sales total for 2017 when that data comes to hand.
Infiniti will be hoping the new QX50 and QX80 SUVs will prove popular with Aussie car buyers when they hit the market in 2018.
