Australia-bound Hyundai i10 gets accolades from Scottish auto journalists.

The Hyundai i10 has taken out the Scottish Car of the Year award for 2014.

The Hyundai micro-car, which will arrive in Australia in 2015, took out not only the major award as judged by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW) but was also the winner in Small Car category too.

Other categories winners in the 2014 Scottish Car of the Year awards;

Best electric car – BMW i3

Best diesel – BMW 220d

Best coupe – Jaguar F-TYPE

Best sports car -McLaren 650S

Best family car – Mazda3

Best estate car – SEAT Leon ST

Best MPV – Citroën Grand C4 Picasso

Best Crossover – Suzuki S-Cross

Best hot hatch – Volkswagen Golf R

Best convertible – Audi A3 Cabriolet
