Car manufacturers generally say car dealerships are a big part of their future, however brands are increasingly dabbling with online car sales models.
On the back of successful online car sales campaigns conducted by brands such as Subaru, Hyundai in the UK has just begun delivering cars to customers who purchased those new vehicles on the brands Click To Buy website.
Launched in early January, Hyundai UK tell us the website allows customers to purchase a new car completely online, offering a no-haggle, fixed-price experience.
Hyundai says online car sales are simple, quick and transparent.
How quick? Try five minutes if you know what you want and you have the funds ready to go!
Already 23 customers have used the website to purchase their new Hyundai and Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO of Hyundai UK, says that’s a great result.
“Click To Buy is an industry first developed by Hyundai in-house and it makes me incredibly proud to see the first new Hyundai cars purchased online handed over to absolutely delighted customers.
“Our aim with the site has always been to make the buying process easier and more transparent than ever before.”
There’s no word at this stage from Hyundai Australia about a similar online car sales model being adopted by the brand locally, we will keep you updated.
