New Honda Accord coming with turbo engines…
There’s going to be a major shift away from the conventional Honda Accord in the new-generation 2018 model – the removal of a V6 engine option.
Instead, Honda’s new midsize car will be offered with a choice of turbocharged petrol engines with capacities of 1.5 litres and 2.0 litres.
Confirmed this morning by Honda USA, at this stage there’s no official word on Australian specifications, we will keep you updated though as more info comes to hand.
While the higher capacity engine gets a 10-speed auto transmission!
A six-speed manual transmission will also be offered to buyers of the 2.0 litre car.
As previously offered in Australia, Honda’s new Accord will also come in hybrid form, though its believed it will come online after the initial petrol-only models are launched.
Still not officially unveiled, Honda also said their new Accord will have a dramatically lower and wider appearance that creates a more aggressive and athletic stance.
We will keep you updated as more details are released in our Honda Accord News section.
