
The wagon version of the Holden Astra hatch comes with the same advanced features.
The European made and designed Sportswagon comes with a power tailgate with handsfree operation, automated parking, and auto autonomous braking.
Holden says the wagon drives like a car and has the space of an SUV.
It is the 13th release in Holden’s “20 new models by 2020” promise they made back in 2015.
The European models replace those previously built in the Korean factory.

The Sportwagon shares the hatch’s 110kw/240Nm, 1.4L, 4-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic drive train.
Holden claims the 5.8 L/100km is due to the lightweight design and stop/start technology.
The rear cargo area is 1630L with the rear seats folded down.
Standard in the the Sportswagon LS+ will be Auto Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, and reversing camera, digital radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a leather steering wheel priced from $25,740.
In addition, the $29,940 Sportswagon LT will be fitted with a kick-gesture power tailgate which is great when your hands are full, sat-nav, side blind spot alert, advanced park assist, and leather interior trim.

Holden’s Executive Director of Sales, Michael Filazzola says the Sportswagon brings back the versatility of a station wagon.
“Astra Sportwagon gives our customers a real alternative to small SUVs. It’s got the space and practicality you’d expect of an SUV but with the style and performance of the award-winning Astra Hatch.”
The Astra Sportwagon will be available at Holden dealerships nationwide from October.
