Manual version of 2013 Barina Spark recalled over possible transmission mount fault.
The budget-priced Holden Barina Spark is being recalled after it was found a fault could lead to a fracture developing in one of the vehicles transmission mounts.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission are overseeing the recall, which a total of 144 Barina Spark vehicles fitted with a manual transmission and built in May and June of last year affected.
The ACCC say that over time, the transmission mount could potentially develop a fracture and the transmission would then become unsupported. This may cause serious mechanical damage and lead to a loss of control of the vehicle.
Holden is contacting affected owners by mail with vehicles to be returned to Holden dealerships for inspection and, if necessary, rectification.
