2014 Ford Fiesta ST recalled over potential seat-belt fault.
A small number of 2014 Ford Fiesta ST vehicles are being recalled over concerns the rear seat-belts may have defective latches.
A total of eighty Ford Fiesta ST vehicles built between the 23rd of September and the 11th of November 2014 are affected, with owners asked to contact their local Ford dealership as soon as possible.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is overseeing the recall, they say that in the event of a frontal impact, a defective latch could fail, causing the rear seat occupant to be unrestrained by the seat-belt.
If the seat-belts do not adequately restrain the occupant, there is an increased risk of injury during a collision.
More information on the Ford Fiesta ST seat-belt recall can be obtained from Ford dealerships or Ford’s Customer Relationship Centre on 1800 503 672.
The recall comes days after thousands of Ford Falcon and Territory vehicles were recalled over a wiring fault, while in better news for Ford we have confirmation that the new Mondeo will feature clever WiFi tech, check out the details here.
