Safety tip: Keep your car key fob near you at night - being able to raise the alarm could scare off an unwanted visitor.

If your car key fob has a panic alarm button then we reckon it’s a great idea to keep it next to you as much as possible.

In the event of you needing assistance, especially at night, being able to press the button, even if your car is locked in your garage, might just be enough to get the attention of your neighbours.

It’s something we don’t like to think about but home invasion does happen and you want to make sure you can alert people around you as quickly and effectively as possible, a blaring car alarm may just be enough to scare off a would-be attacker or thief.

Even in cases that aren’t sinister, such as in the event of a medical emergency, being able to raise the alarm and get the attention of your neighbour’s sounds like a simple, potentially lifesaving idea.

Remember as well to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The car alarm panic button can work the same way there.
