Australia to get V6 TFSI powered Audi SQ5 late this year…

Here’s the new-generation version of the Audi SQ5, a model heading to Australia later in the year.

Based on the new Audi Q5, which was debuted backed in October, the sporty SQ5 version has just been unveiled officially at the Detroit Auto Show.

Coming with a new 3.0 litre TFSI V6 engine, Audi’s sporty SUV model promises 260kW and 500Nm.

A new engine technology being introduced in the V6 engine alters the compression ratios to achieve maximum efficiency.

The end result being fuel consumption of as low as 8.3L/100km.

That fuel economy also assisted by way of a hefty 14-kilogram engine weight saving over the unit in the current model, overall the new SQ5 enjoys a total weight reduction of 35kgs.

An eight-speed auto transmission will feature as standard and power is delivered to all four wheels via the Audi quattro AWD system.
