2018 BMW 1 Series unveiled

BMW tweaks 1 Series for 2018

After a significant update in 2016 that included new engines and added features, BMW has decided on just some mild tweaks for the 1 Series for 2018.

Confirmed this afternoon, the 2018 BMW 1 Series range will continue to kick off from $39,990.

Perhaps the biggest changes come on the inside, with BMW introducing a new black instrument panel, a high-gloss black centre stack, new upholstery stitching and chrome enhancements on the electric window controls.

The 1 Series now also boasts the latest edition of the iDrive system with customisable ‘apps’.

A wider array of trim finishes is also coming online, including a premium Pearl Chrome option.

Exterior changes run to the now standard inclusion of LED Headlights on all models, the top-spec M140i gaining adaptive LEDs standard.

New alloy wheel designs come online too (as below), and a new premium paint colour is available - Sunset Orange metallic.

BMW Australia boss, Marc Werner, says the update ticks all the right boxes.

“From the acclaimed BMW M140i to the engaging 118i, all new 1 Series come with key technology updates and a refreshed look, both inside and outside the vehicle.
