The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is overseeing the latest in a string of recalls involving Polaris vehicles.
This time Polaris dealerships need to check and rectify a possible exhaust system issue on Polaris ACE 325 vehicles sold in Australia between the 31st of December 2013 and the 17th of October 2017.
The recall notice advises that the exhaust temperatures can reach a temperature that could crack the Exhaust Head Pipe
What are the hazards?
If the Exhaust Head Pipe were to crack, heat from the exhaust gas could pose a potential fire and/or burn hazard.
What should affected Polaris owners do?
Owners are to contact their Authorised Polaris Dealer to make arrangements for their ATV to be repaired free of charge.
Consumers should stop using their vehicle until the repair has been performed.
