Europe develops a taste for FCA offerings

FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) in Australia will be hoping increasing demand for the groups vehicles in Europe is something that flows through to our local market.

In Australia, FCA brands Jeep (-51.4%), Fiat (-48.6%), Dodge (-66.1%), Chrysler (-49.7%) and Alfa Romeo (-56.5%) are having nothing short of dismal years.

Yet in Europe, with essentially the same line-up of cars, things are looking a whole lot brighter.

New data released by FCA shows September 2016 sales were up 14.2% to 90,900 vehicles, while across the first nine months of the year’s sales of the groups vehicles increased 15.3% compared to the same period last year.

Sales were up 39.0% for Alfa Romeo, 21.0% for Jeep, 14.7% for Lancia and 10.8% for Fiat.

Some of the sales stars for FCA in Europe include the Fiat Panda (+12.0%), Fiat 500X (+10.5%), Alfa Romeo Giulietta (+3.1%) and Jeep Renegade (+41.7%).

FCA September 2016 Sales Results (Australia):

There were no sales recorded for the Chrysler Voyager, Alfa Romeo MiTo, Fiat Punto and Fiat Panda in Australia in September 2016.
