Kia Telluride SUV wins acclaim

There might one day be a Kia SUV larger than the Kia Sorento in Australian Kia dealers and if it does eventuate it might just look like the vehicle above.

Known as the Kia Telluride, the SUV is a concept vehicle that Kia unveiled at last year’s Detroit Auto Show.

Featuring three rows of seats and enough space for seven, the Telluride has impressed the judges from the International Designers Society of America (IDSA).

The IDSA has just bestowed a design prize on the U.S. designed concept vehicle and chief designer at Kia, Peter Schreyer, says that’s quite an honour.

“The Telluride is a bold statement for Kia, providing a glimpse into how our designers would elevate levels of luxury into Kia’s future SUV line-up.

“It highlights how our designers are creating compelling concept vehicles as a foundation to lead into production-ready cars.

“I am very proud of our design team and the award from IDSA.”
