No one likes to see their alloy wheels covered in brake dust and road grime and now-a-days there’s a host of different wheel cleaners on the market.
I picked up the EcoCar Car Wheel Cleaner and thought I would put it to the test…
I followed the instructions and applied the wheel cleaner liberally…
The final result was a little disappointing…
As you can see from the photo above, for best results you need to scrub the wheel with a brush, rag or sponge. But the question remains, is it worth using something like a dedicated wheel cleaner, when, if you have to do the work yourself, simple car wash would do just as good a job?
To be honest I was expecting a better result from the areas I didn’t scrub. The wheel had a good coating of dust but the final result was disappointing.
