Emily tells us about her 2007 VE Holden Commodore.
I know, it’s not really the most exciting or interesting car to review for you but I have to say it has generally been a really good companion.
The Commodore attracted me because my family have always been Holden owners and because I wanted something that was safe and good on the highway.
I live in regional Queensland and drive down to either Toowoomba or Brisbane every few weeks for doctors’ appointments, shopping etc. and the Commodore has always handled the trip without too much trouble.
The things I have found I like about the car include the seats, legroom front and in the rear, boot space and engine has plenty of power for overtaking and climbing hills.
Things that I feel I am missing or that I would change – fuel consumption, while not terrible, is probably not as good as some of the more modern cars getting around and I would love to have a Bluetooth system so I can talk safely on the phone and stream my music.
Overall though, aside from regular maintenance stuff like tyres and brakes, the Holden has been a good and reliable car. I will probably hang on to my car for another couple of years…then buy another Commodore.
Thanks for your review Emily, there’s no doubting the Holden Commodore has long been one of the top country cars available and we are glad yours has been a good companion.
