2012-13 cars need new brake line
Now some of the small Mercedes-Benz models are required back at a dealership to have a possibly faulty Brake Booster Vacuum Line.
The recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
Affected Mercedes-Benz A-Class/B-Class vehicles were sold in Australian between the 1st of February 2012 and the 30th of June 2013.
The recall notice advising that the connection on the brake booster vacuum hose may break, resulting in a lack of power assistance to the braking system.
This may require additional pedal force to stop the vehicle.
What are the hazards?
This may result in an increased risk of injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by direct mail and are asked to contact their nearest Mercedes-Benz dealership to arrange an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
