They’re at it again, stretching the MINI and adding extra luxuries!
It’s a long, long way from the legendary MINI of old; BMW has just released these photos and details on a new, even larger, Clubman Concept.
Set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the concept car is 26 centimetres longer and nearly 17 centimetres wider than the current (quite sizeable) MINI Clubman (and 117cm longer than the original MINI!).
BMW says the MINI Clubman Concept is aimed at buyers with an active lifestyle (aren’t all cars aimed at those people today?), they say the cabin offers plenty of flexibility and functionality with typical MINI shapes and colours.
No details of additional potential drivetrains was discussed, though Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design, said the MINI Clubman Concept shows how the model could be taken a step further.
“More interior space, a greater sense of high-end quality and yet still clever, bold and distinctive. In short: more car, more MINI.”
And more details on the Clubman Concept will be revealed at next week’s Geneva Motor Show.
