Known as the BMW X1 sDrive18i, the new variant marks the first time the BMW three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine has appeared in the baby SUV (or Sports Activity Vehicle as BMW calls it).

- X1 sDrive20i – 141kW/280Nm 2.0 litre turbo-petrol

While standard kit in the new entry model will include iDrive6 infotainment, reverse camera, cruise control, LED headlights, powered tailgate and 18” alloy wheels.
The new variant can also be optioned with the M Sport Package, Convenience Package, Innovations Package and Comfort Packages.
“The BMW X1 has been a mainstay of our product lineup for several years now,” said BMW Group Australia CEO, Marc Werner.
“In 2017, it has proven to be our number one seller across all segments, which is a strong confirmation of the X1’s blend of value and capability.”
