Just six cars coming to Australia

Here’s your chance to get a very special, very limited edition, BMW i8 hybrid/electric sports car.

BMW Australia has confirmed Australian buyers would be offered just six i8 ‘Protonic’ series cars – five will be examples of the i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition, and the other will be a solitary Protonic Frozen Yellow Edition.

bmw i8 protonic alloy wheelPriced from $303,300, the special edition i8 cars all come with Frozen Grey metallic accents and ride on matte-finish 20” alloy wheels with distinctive W-spoke styling (as seen to the left).

While a bespoke interior trim also features with highlights including Amido leather seats with embossed i8 logos integrated into the headrests, black ceramic highlights and an engraved i8 logo on the iDrive controller.

BMW Australia boss, Marc Werner, says all six cars are expected to find loving owners in quick fashion.

“The BMW i8 has long been the proof of our commitment to a greener future, without compromising on performance,”

“Now the latest Protonic Frozen Black and Frozen Yellow Editions provide additional collector appeal, with a focus on high luxury and exclusivity.”
