Things are on the up for the BMW Group.
2014 looks set to be a massive sales year for the giant BMW Group.
Global sales data for the first nine months of the year was released overnight; the data shows that across the board BMW, BMW Motorad, MINI and Rolls-Royce sales have grown collectively by 6.5% with 1.529 million deliveries worldwide for the first nine months of 2014.
Individually, BMW car sales were up 6.1% with 1,529,880 deliveries. The 3-Series remains the brands star with sales climbing 3.7% to a total of 349,930 for the period. BMW i sales totalled 10,540 across the nine months with 10,199 BMW i3s and 341 BMW i8s delivered to customers.
The keys to 2,859 Rolls-Royce Phantom, Ghost and Wraith models were handed to customers, that’s a huge 24.3% increase on the 2013 total for the same period.
MINI sales were the only area of concern for the BMW Group; sales dropped 7.5% across the first nine months of 2014, but with new models arriving now there was a 1.8% bounce back in September.
Finally, on two wheels – BMW Motorad sales were up 7.6% from January to September.
