Another of the keenly anticipated new models coming our way in 2014 is beginning to arrive in BMW dealerships nationwide.

The new BMW 2 Series Coupé, which is larger and lower than the model it replaces – the very popular 1 Series Coupé, will be offered in three configurations – 220i, 220d and M 235i.

The 220i Coupé develops 135kW and 270Nm, whilst consuming a combined 6.0L/100km’s, 220d Coupé also produces 135kW, but boasts 380Nm of torque, combined diesel consumption is just 4.4L/100km’s!

And if those engines don’t meet requirements, then the M235i Coupé comes with BMW’s six-cylinder in-line M TwinPower turbo engine which develops 240kW and 450Nm.

Set to be joined by an Active Tourer version later in 2014, and a convertible version as well in 2015, standard features in the 2014 BMW 2 Series Coupe include;

  • Automatic climate control
  • Park Distance Control
  • Halogen headlights
  • Sports seats
  • 17-inch light-alloy wheels

Phil Horton, Managing Director for BMW Group Australia, says the new 2 Series Coupe delivers an engaging drive.

“The 2 Series Coupé blends stunning good looks with the kind of incredible dynamic talent that can only be delivered by a truly refined driver’s car,”

“Add to this the generous specification levels loaded with the latest in innovative technology and we are very confident that we have a winner on our hands.”
