Big dip in U.S. car sales in July 2017

7% drop in new car sales

The July car sales data for the U.S. is in and the news is not good for the car industry with sales dipping 7% compared to the same month last year.

The slowdown comes after a 3.0% drop in sales in June.

While U.S. car sales across the first seven months of the year are down 2.9% on the same period in 2016.

In total, 1.416 million cars were delivered to U.S. car buyers in the month, down from 1.522 in July last year.

But the news wasn’t all bad for some car manufacturers, in a slowing market these manufacturers all managed to grow their customer base:
